Eye Hand - painting series

As I started to do more photography, I decided to try painting the images I could capture with my camera.  Although i enjoy photography, when I paint I do not try to be photo-realistic.  I enjoy experimenting and using the physical properties of paint, so I like to allow paint to feel like paint.  With that, I enjoy creating in a looser, expressive feeling of realism.  With many of the images I worked on 2 different size canvas to see what the effect was of translating the composition into small and large sizes.  This is my current series of work with additional paintings in progress, and excited to start a few more.
